So a quote from a domain article sums up the draconian infringements on a private landlords rights to have a say what happens in/with their privately owned property were introduced to parliament and passed without changes by the Andrews government last week.
“Most of the changes are focused on improving the rights of tenants. Academics say the new legislation represents the strongest protections for renters in the country.”
ACADEMICALLY SPEAKING the world is a perfect place but as landlords know, that’s not true…
As usual there has not been a clear and concise list prepared and distributed to property owners explaining the changes.
Seems everyone is focused on pets. What else is there that will really affect landlords they are not telling us about. I think the grey area around minimum standards – that will be hashed out later by god knows who is frightening.
